We are committed to ensuring that the California Native Plant Foods Celebration and Symposium remains accessible. While our general registration is currently at capacity, we are maintaining a waitlist and will continue to prioritize representation from students, elders, and community practitioners as spots become available.
Community Inclusion Fund
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we offer a limited number of fee waivers to ensure essential voices are represented in this gathering. If you are joining the waitlist and belong to one of the groups below, please follow the steps to request access support.
Access Eligibility Waitlist priority and registration support are available for:
- Tribal Community Members and Elders
- Current Students (Undergraduate and Graduate)
- Independent Community Practitioners and Educators
- Youth participants
- Individuals facing financial barriers
How to Request Support

Please include:
- For Community Members, Elders, Youth, and Independent Practitioners:
- Affiliation: Your connection to Native plant work (Tribal affiliation, community organization, etc.).
- Benefit Statement (1-3 sentences): How your participation would contribute to, or benefit from, the symposium's mission.
- For Current Students:
- Affiliation: Your field of study and academic level.
- Benefit Statement (1-3 sentences): How your participation would contribute to the symposium's mission.
- Justification (1-2 sentences): A brief statement explaining why a waiver is important for your participation.
Process: All requests are reviewed confidentially. We will respond within 5 business days regarding your status on our priority waitlist.
